In March, BIAW (Building Industry Association of Washington) filed an initiative to the people that will allow private insurers to compete with the state Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) to offer employers workers’ compensation coverage. BIAW’s initiative will bring Washington State in line with the 46 other states that allow competition in the industrial insurance market.

The instructor for the class is Andre’ Zwanenburg; both he and RGA Environmental, Inc. have been approved by EPA.
Each company needs at least one person certified and must attend a class that is approved by the EPA. That company also needs to apply to become a Certified Renovator at an additional cost of $350. Companies can apply on line at: http://www.epa.gov/lead/. The application is attached, however, please check the website for more information.
