Committees

AWARDS COMMITTEE: Identifies and recommends members for local, state and national awards.

BUDGET & FINANCE COMMITTEE: Develops the annual budget for submission to the Board of Directors. Monitors income and expenses throughout the year and recommends budget revisions as necessary.

BUILDING REGULATION COMMITTEE: Reviews code change proposals and ordinances affecting the building trades.

POLICY, PROCEDURE & BYLAWS COMMITTEE: Reviews governance documents to clarify language and assure consistency with Mission and organizational intent. Recommends Bylaw changes when necessary and oversees approval process.

CHRISTMAS PARTY COMMITTEE: Plans, organizes, promotes and produces the Association’s annual Christmas Party.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT COMMITTEE: Evaluates requests for support and recommends to the Board public service projects that enhance our public image through contributions to the community by our membership.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Identifies changing knowledge and skills required by Association members and works with partners to offer appropriate classes.

GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: Plans, organizes, promotes and produces the Association’s annual golf tournament.

EXPO COMMITTEE: Plans, organizes, promotes and produces the Association’s annual home show.

FUTURE BUILDERS COMMITTEE: Monitors Future Builders program and annual construction of the Future Builders home. Sub committees include Education / Curriculum, Public Relations / Advertising, Budget and Finance, Procurement, Design and Awards.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE: Monitors proposed rules and regulations affecting our industry and members, and keeps membership informed. Works with and provides informed testimony to local government committees and agencies on subjects affecting our industry.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: Develops and implements the Association’s annual membership program to meet recruitment and retention goals.

MEMBERSHIP MEETING COMMITTEE: Evaluates and selects meeting locations and program topics.

NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE: Develops and recommends a slate of Association officers and directors for election by the membership.

SURPLUS SALE COMMITTEE: Plans, organizes, promotes, produces and collects materials for the Association’s annual Builder’s Surplus Sale.

FUTURE BUILDERS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP & GRANTS COMMITTEE: Solicits Future Builder scholarship and grant applications, evaluates submissions and recommends award recipients to the Board of Directors.
